WoW Battleground Basics Guide - Alterac Valley

E-mail

Love it or hate it, Alterac Valley is difficult, chaotic, confusing, and most of all, it's serious business.  The two previous PvP battlegrounds are mere skirmishes.  Alterac Valley is war.  To win AV, you reduce the enemy's reinforcements from 600 to 0, and the team loses one reinforcement every time a player releases their spirit after death.  So, if any battleground needs a survival guide, it's Alterac Valley.

E-mail

I've recently gotten over my fear of PvP and jumped head-first into playing battlegrounds.  The first thing I can tell the world is this:  every battleground is different, and you're going to be very confused when you play each one for the first time.  This short guide contains only the things I wish someone had told me before I played Warsong Gulch.

A Guide to WoW Battleground Rewards

E-mail

Playing in PvP battlegrounds leads to serious rewards.  You get XP very quickly if you play right - it's very easy to go up two levels per day.  But as good as the XP is, the gear is even better.  As you play battlegrounds and gain levels, you'll get access to armor and weapons that are far more powerful than the drops gained in dungeons and on the field.  This article will help new players, especially Horde players, get started on their first PvP gear upgrades.

Not every game is playable for every computer system.  Some are more intense than others, so, some of them require a faster computer with better abilities, while others don't.

Here is a full explanation of the system requirements for each game we cover; as new games are added to OnlineRPGs.net, this page will be updated.  In addition to system requirements we also cover what parts of the world has access to the game, and when it was released in each area.

Final Fantasy XI (Square-Enix)

E-mail

Another magic-and-monsters game, FFXI is based on the series that brought RPGs out of obscurity.  Single-player Final Fantasy games for consoles were known for graphics and music that stun, addictive and flexible character build options, and stories that stay with you for decades.  Final Fantasy XI (also called Final Fantasy Online) imports the vast and well-established universe developed over dozens of games before and since, allowing players to take part in the same styles of adventuring found in other FF titles.
